Jowar Bhakri (Serves 2)
Ingredients
- 1 cup jowar flour
- Warm water as needed
- Salt (optional)
- Ghee (for serving)
Instructions
1. Knead the jowar flour with warm water into a soft dough.
2. Take a portion and pat into a round using your hands or a rolling pin between plastic sheets.
3. Cook on a hot tawa, flipping until both sides are cooked.
4. Serve hot with ghee, chutney, or curry.
Pro Tip: Cook on medium flame and press gently with a cloth for puffier bhakris.

Jowar Halwa (Serves 3)
Ingredients
- ½ cup jowar flour
- 2 tbsp ghee
- ¼ cup jaggery
- 1¼ cup water
- Cardamom and chopped dry fruits
Instructions
1. Roast jowar flour in ghee until aromatic and light brown.
2. Slowly add water, stirring to avoid lumps.
3. Mix in jaggery, cardamom, and nuts.
4. Cook until halwa thickens.

Jowar Vegetable Cheela (Serves 2)
Ingredients
- 1 cup jowar flour
- ½ cup grated veggies (carrot, zucchini, onion, spinach)
- 1 green chili (chopped), cumin seeds, turmeric
- Salt and water for batter
Instructions
1. Combine all ingredients into a smooth, pourable batter.
2. Heat a pan, spread batter, drizzle oil, and cook on both sides until golden.
3. Serve with curd or green chutney.
